I've just uploaded to http://www.mysteryfile.com/Lang/Crockett.html
an interview I did last year with Brad Lang, author of three
PI Fred Crockett novels in the 1970s.
In it, among other things including his own career, Brad
talks about hard-boiled fiction in general, having his own
website on the subject matter, with lots and lots of
paperback covers on display.
Preceding the interview, Gary Warren Niebuhr does his usual
excellent job in reviewing the three books.
Best
Steve
