Thing about Scott is each book has been better than the last.
In other words, good as it is, I think Ice Harvest is his
weakest book. Each new one promises a treat.
I'm wondering whether Dominic Stansberry feels anything
similar about his work. Not which book is best, but whether
he feels he's explored in fiction, with The Confession, all
the points he wanted to make in his Noir Manifesto, or
whether there are more advances to come in the same vein.
What direction, in other words?
I've only read The Confession, though others are on order,
but I get the feeling from others on the list that The
Confession is a peak, so far.
I dunno. Maybe the question's unfair.
