Old hat to many, probably, but I hadn't read it until now (I
thought I had read it...) This book impressed me even more
than the other Thornburg's I had read. It is all of one piece
and I read it in one long sitting. Noir and hardboiled in
equal part, a brilliant book. I think was my only unread
Thornburg; I have Cutter and Bone ready for reread, of
course.
What is Thornburg's situation? A few months back somebody
mentioned health problems, if I recall correctly.
Why has a writer this good not received more acclaim? Would
it be possible to have him as a guest? My interest in him has
definitely grown with this last read.
Best,
MrT
