Anybody see the movie A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE yet? (Based on a
graphic novel I haven't read by John Wagner and Vincent
Locke.) It's good noir. Reminds me a great deal of Lawrence
Block, but also of THE PRONE GUNMAN by John Patrick
Manchette, about the hit man who is trying to get out of the
business. That's a book mentioned by Domenic Stansberry in
his
"Noir Manifesto" as a key noir book.
Best, Bruce
