That is sad news that Jim passed along.
However, I was wondering about something in the obit:
'He penned two books in prison, "Confessions of a Felon"
followed by "No Beast So Fierce," which became the 1978
Dustin Hoffman starrer "Straight Time."'
Does Confessions of a Felon refer to his 2000 autobiography,
Education of a Felon (what was the UK title, Confessions or
Memoirs of Mr. Blue?)? Is that a (slightly) updated version
of his first book? If so, was the earlier version ever
published? Anyone know?
Oh, and didn't he co-write, not write, Runaway Train?
