I read most of the individual stories for my book, THE
ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FANTASTIC VICTORIANA, which will be published
this November from MonkeyBrain Books, and will be of
interest, I think, to folks here, as I spend some space
examing the 19th century precursors to the hardboileds.
