Are you sure she shot the gun? This sounds very close to The
Bride Wore Black, where one of a handful of guys in a room
shoots a gun out a window, accidentally killing a bridegroom
exiting a church with his new bride. She tracks down each of
the men in the room and kills them.
Did Woolrich do another story with a variation on this
plot?
