As Dennis knows, we (meaning I) at Crippen & Landru have
not published as quickly as we (meaning I) had hoped. Because
my wife now watches our grandson, and my son actually found a
paying job (with benefits, even) I have been on my own at
C&L, while also continuing to teach full-time.
We are not closing up shop, or anything like it, but we have
gotten behind on our commitments. We have just published anew
Lost Classic -- Philip S. Warne's WHO WAS GUILTY? TWO DIME
NOVELS and a volume in our regular series, Terence Faherty's
THE CONFESSIONS OF OWEN KEANE. Ellery Queen's THE ADVENTURE
OF THE MURDERED MOTHS AND OTHER RADIO MYSTERIES is now in
press, and following that book will be (at long last)
Dennis's SLOT-MACHINE KELLY. Say, late summer for Dennis'
book.
I'm far behind on the second Erle Stanlay Gardner collection
as well.
And we have now heard that the Black Mask material may soon
come to us, which will mean new collections by Paul Cain,
Frederick Nebel and Norbert Davis.
