Yeah, that was the group in Sarasota. They were REALLY hard
drinkers. John D. always said that he was a writer because he
couldn't think of anything else to do before five o'clock.
After five o'clock he knew exactly what to do.
The no women might have come with Willard, but I'd be
surprised. He was such an easy-going fellow. It was probably
a combination, Willard mentioned the policy, and Ken and some
others decided it was a good idea. But that kind of
exclusionary policy is not my cup of tea, and by the
seventies had become pretty untenable except at Augusta
Country Club.
