Congrats to Charles Ardai and Hard Case Crime for the
nominations of Little Girl Lost and Fade to Blonde. I
understand that Max Allen Collins was also nominated for
"Best Paperback Original."
Unlike Jim Dougherty, I hope I Jack Bludis wins--but then I,
as Jack Bludis, have a personal statke in it.
It is great, however, to be nominated in a category with both
Max Allen Collins and with an original in Hard Case
Crime.
Super congrats to Charles and Domenic Stansberry. As some of
you know I have been pushing Stansberry on this list for a
couple of years. The Confession is a terrific book and it
deserved the Edgar. It was not, however, eligible for a
Shamus--no P.I. or similar character involved, but it was one
hell of a read and as noir as a book gets. And yes, Jim, it
does mee both yours and my definitions of "Noir."
