Hi, Dennis, and welcome to Rara-Avis. You probably don't
remember it, but years ago you gave me some very good advice
about the writing business:
"Everything takes a lot longer than you think it should." Or
words to that effect.
It's possible that the first book of yours that I read was
one of the Three Investigators novels, but I really feel like
it was probably THE SHADOW STRIKES!, which I bought brand-new
off the spinner rack in the local drugstore. I read that
whole series and thoroughly enjoyed them. I still pull old
issues of MSMM off the shelves every now and then and read
your Mike Shaynes and Slot-Machine Kelly stories, too.
Speaking of William Arden, I also liked the series you did
under that name about a character who specialized in
industrial espionage. Very good hardboiled novels, and I
think many of the members here would enjoy them. Was the
character's name Kane Jackson? I can't get to the books at
the moment, but that sounds right.
