Thanks for the very interesting answers to my questions. Now
I'm not sure where I got the "Queen of female noir" title. In
retrospect, I think I may have accidentally fused the "Queen
of Noir" and the "female Thompson (or was it Cain?)" blurb,
neither of which is guilty of marginalizing you due to
gender. Sorry about that.
