Hi Ms. Hendricks,
I've read and greatly enjoyed many of your books. I know
you've probably answered this a million times in interviews,
but I was interested in the evolution of Miami Purity. If I
recall correctly, it was the result of an assignment to
invert gender perspective in a classic noir tale and you
chose James M. Cain. What was behind your choice and how did
the inversion change the story? I must say, I loved the
result, however it came about.
