Richard Moore mentioned "A Key to the Suite" by John D.
MacDonald.
I rememeber this book fondly. Although a potboiler paperback,
it had a lot to say about big business and the people in it
and how the best of them could be corupted.
I think a testiment to the book is that I read the book long
before I heard of Travis McGee and at a time when I didn't
remember author's names, but I did remember the title and was
surprised to see John D. MacDonald's name on the cover.
I consider a book very good when, like "A Key to the Suite,"
I pick it up years later or when I hear the title and it all
comes back to me.
