Hope I'm not going off topic too much with this. While caused
by plague rather than nuclear holocaust, another book that is
worth reading is Earth Abides by George Stewart. I read it
many years ago, but if memory is to be trusted, it's a very
good book. Also I Am Legend by Richard Matheson.
