I read GRIFTER'S GAME when it was a Gold Medal book called
MONA, and it's really good. If the ending's not noir, I don't
know what is.
Just finished reading FADE TO BLONDE the other day. It's a
really entertaining novel that's about as close to the Gold
Medal feel as anything I've seen. There's even a club in the
novel that's named the Gold Medal, a nice homage.
