Regarding message 277 of Sept 3, 2004 from Claus Kerkhoff
there are two changes to the list of Robert Martin novels
published in German.
First, delete THE OCTOBER STORY as this is by a different
Robert Martin, a British writer of juvenile fiction.
Second, add another edition of LITTLE SISTER (KLEINE HEXE)
published in 1956 by Lehning-Verlag as #68 in their Panther
series, and came out under the Lee Roberts pseudonym, the
only instance among the German editions.
In addition, I asked him to look into the possibility any of
RM's short stories being published in German as well as any
adaptations for television. Per Claus's friend Max, there are
no short stories and he could find nothing about any
television adaptations.
>From what copies I have of the Goldmann paperbacks,
there are many
cover design styles, all variations of black and sometimes
white against a red background. Trying to make sense of this
awaits future solution.
Thanks for all the assistance.
