****** Thanks, Joy. Her RIDE THE PINK HORSE was excellent.
Even though it might have been a bit uneven, it was intense,
dark, and desperate. The movie was good, too, but it deviated
so far from the book that it lost a lot of the look and
feel.
I've been trying to decide whether I want to read her IN A
LONELY PLACE or just watch the movie version. As earlier
noted on the list, a lot of great old noir movies have come
out on DVD here recently.
