I can fill in the blanks on two more. Nicci French writes
what you could call dark romantic suspense. Packed with sex.
Not very noir at all.
Jess Walter's two novels don't really fit the mold, either,
but they're terrific reading. His most recent book LAND OF
THE BLIND was a personal favorite from last year.
