Isn't it true the some people, for whatever reason, want the
same story over and over? Kids seem especially inclined that
way. I remember that mine watched re-runs of Gilligan's
Island again and again, even though they knew the lines by
memory. And they loved having the same books read to them
over and over. So maybe Stout and Macdonald (both writers I
hold in high regard) were onto something.
