If any of you are old-time radio buffs, I need a question
answered.
During the first season of the PHILIP MARLOWE radio series,
the one with Van Heflin in the title role that ran on NBC,
one of the episodes was based on the short story "Red
Wind."
When the show, now on CBS, returned a year later with Gerald
Mohr in the role, the first Mohr episode (and, apparently,
the only one of the Mohr episodes directly based on Chandler
material) was also adapted from "Red Wind."
Does anyone here know whether or not the same script was
used? Was it just a reperformance with a different cast (not
unusual in OTR), or was it an entirely new script?
Thanks for any information.
JIM DOHERTY
