Mike, I am now reading books about the pre-Holocaust period
in Germany, research for a YA I'm writing as Kerr. The best
of the lot is Alfred Doeblin's Berlin Alexanderplatz. If I
don't have research, which I seem to have always, I like
Barbara Vine(not Rendell) Elizabeth Jolley and Jonathan
Carroll.
