Pour les rompoliens voici un message venu de Rara-Avis (sorte de Rompol US) ou l'on annonce le d飨s du chanteur-compositeur am鲩cain Warren Zevon qui avait eu un grand hit il y a quelques d飡des avec son 'Werewolves of London", repris par plusieurs en France, si mes souvenirs sont exacts. C'鴡it un type tr賠sympa et un excellent compositeur doubl頤'un bon vivant. Dans ce message il est dit aussi que c'est lui qui a compos頬es paroles des chansons qui sont dans le nouveau livre de Carl Hiassen "Basket Case"et que WR 鴡it un fan de Ross Mac Donald... Pour moi c'鴡it une sorte de Nino Ferrer US, une esp裥 qui se perd h鬡s....

Rara-avis readers, Carl, Steve, Charles, Phyllis & Rob: here's a message from a muder mystery discussion group I belong to which acknowledges the sad death of good guy Warren Zevon and his association with Ross Mac Donald and the last book of Carl Hiassen who is one of the leading murder mystery writers in the US.... I my message above to the french murder mystery discussion group I note that WZ was a great "bon vivant" and a character similar to a French singer/writer/composer called Nino Ferrer who also died a few years ago and that this type of personality is fast disapearing from both the charts and the public domain... Sad....

In an even more recent development, Zevon co-wrote the lyrics to all of the songs featured in Carl Hiassen's new book, _Basket Case_. I highly recommend this book, whether you're a regular Hiassen fan or not.
