It's been a long time, and I have zero recollection of
"Jealousy," but Robbe-Grillet wrote another book in
which--
I guy watches a pack of cigarettes unfold in the water on a
ferry boat. He gets off the boat kills a girl, her blood
spreads out across a marble floor, and he has to peddle like
hell on his bicycle to get back to the ferry boat before it
leaves.
That's all I remember--but wow the telling, the detail, the
"being there." Wow!
And the name of the book was . . . ?????
Somebody help me out here.
