All of Faulkner is hardboiled, and he wrote a continuum, so
you could start anywhere. You could try _The Wild Palms_,
whole or by halves, _Light in August_, and Knight's Gambit.
Actually, the collected short stories might give you a good
idea of his work. Don't miss _Barn Burning_.
