I stumbled across this tonight:

That's Butte (pron. "Byoot" like "beautiful"), Montana, which
was the basis for Poisonville in Dashiell Hammett's RED
HARVEST. Hammett and the book seem to be a big part of Butte
history, although apparently it's not even known if he ever
went there.
