I had the pleasure of serving on a Left Coast Crime panel
with Woody Haut as moderator.
The reason for the post is to suggest that any of you who
would like a broader background in hardboiled and noir might
do well to pick up Woody Haut's books.
On the way back, I read *Neon Noir,* was greatly impressed
and I indend to buy and read his other books *Pulp Culture*
and *Heartbreak and Vine.*
It's good stuff, and it explains a lot about hardboilded and
noir than I ever dreamed I could assimilate in a few hours
reading.
