Interesting point, Bill. For some reason, I don't trip over
Lansdale's metaphors so much. In the Leonard Pine/Hap Collins
romps, maybe it's because of an expectation of the wild,
funny ride ahead. I get a big kick out of reading him, with
or without the metaphors.
