I must admit I was very surprised to see David Markson in a
list of '50s authors. I got two of his books a while ago. I
asked about them at the time and Bill C recommended them, but
they never seemed to make it to the top of the TBR
pile.
Anyway, they were Belmont Tower paperbacks, with very '70s
covers -- Fannin's hairstyle, suit and, especially, tie on
both, a car on one. But the copyright page does indeed say
they are from '59 and '61, although the printing was
1974.
I think I'll give one of them a shot.
