************ Great web-zine, Dave. I went straight for the
Thompson essay, also. I've only read KILLER INSIDE ME and
GETAWAY, and I've been thinking about something else by him,
but I know that some of what he wrote was bad. Your piece
gave me a good idea of what to read next.
Rather than add more emails, I'll stick a thank you to every-
body who suggested bookstores in the D.C. I made it to the
Second Story Books yesterday and was happy to pick up a few I
wanted. Since most of what I was looking for was 30s thru 50s
stuff, I didn't have a lot of luck. They were probably back
in the expensive section. I'll be back in the D.C. area again
in a couple months. I hope to try out some of the other
stores then.
