Looks like your purest fix for RB's cf from the pulps would
be either the UK paperback THE SMALL ASSASSIN or the US
paperback THE AUTUMN PEOPLE, both long gone, but the widely
distributed THE VINTAGE BRADBURY is not too shabby a
substitute. Of course, you could mortgage your house and buy
a copy of the original DARK CARNIVAL, too. TM

Speaking of something else entirely: have Bradbury's stories
from the pulps ever been collected? I recall reading at least
one hardboiled story by him, a very good one.
