French truly appreciating hardboiled and noir is true. I
noticed when I was looking for information on Charles
Williams that not only are there quite a few French sites
about him, but that a lot of his works are still in print
there, too. However, I'd recommend the English versions of
his works, Mario.
I put the available Manchette novel on my wish list. Only
other French novel I got on it is Durenmatt's (sp?) THE
PLEDGE.
