Al, Maybe I was wrong with saying Hammer "mellowed". I don't
even remember the passage you quoted, I'll have to go back
and look. It's been about a year since I read "One Lonely
Night", but I do recall Hammer coming full circle with
wondering if he really was an animal to realizing he existed
to get rid of the bad guys, and I guess I took that as a
mellowing of his attitude. It's obvious you're no fan, but
that's okay! Check out "The Twisted Thing" and "Survival
Zero" if you want to try a later book, but while Hammer may
not be so quick to shoot in those two, the levels of sex and
violence remain the same, especially in "Survival Zero" where
the usual gang of girls take their clothes off in front of
Hammer. --Brian
