as for the trivia about Andy Williams dubbing Bacall's
singing, well, first of all, that happened in TO HAVE AND
HAVE NOT, not THE BIG SLEEP, and the reality of it is that
Bacall was a little weak on her highest note in a song sung
in THAHN, and young Andy Williams was chosen to overdub that
one note for the soundtrack. Everything else was la
Bacall.
