Miker, go ahead and read everything you can find by Williams. You won't find a more technically accomplished Gold Medalist, or a more vital one. Williams's stories vibrate and his stuff hasn't aged much thematically. The Hot Spot is a harboiled noir masterpiece. I can't imagine a hardboiled fan not liking it.
