RARA-AVIS: pseudonym for Hallas ?

I've found a copy of YOU PLAY THE BLACK AND THE RED COMES UP. Its by Richard Harris. Is that a pseudonym for Richard Hallas? I have a hard time imagining that title being used by a different author, but I'd hate to buy the wrong book. The one by Harris was several dollars cheaper than another edition by Hallas.
