A strong second, or third, for Chris Offutt. I have only one
short story collection: KENTUCKY STRAIGHT. This thread
prompted me to relocate it on my book shelf. It's right next
to a collection of Raymond Carver. Both brilliant. Was it
James Crumley who said he was influenced by Carver? Or am I
misremembering?
