Wow, as whacked out (and great) as Ghost Dog was, I have
trouble conceving of it as based on anything else. I'll have
to check out Johnny Cool if I get the chance.
By the way, the film's director/writer, Jim Jarmusch, was
once in the band the Del Byzanteens, some of whose songs
featured lyrics by Luc Sante, who later wrote the hardboiled
non-fiction Low Life.
