It'd be interesting to know how well the fewbooks that have
been translated books have done. As far as France goes: at
least two Pennacs have been printed in the US; several Leo
Malets came out in the UK. Serpent's Tail and Soho Books have
both published non-English writers.
And although there aren't as many words in them, a whole lot
of foreign comic books and manga have ben published here.
What's going on when comic book readers (not putting them
down, I'm one) are more open to foreign works than book
readers?
