Yesterday afternoon TCM showed Ida Lupino's film noir, The
Hitch-Hiker (1953). Unfortunately, the last ten minutes was
chopped so I didn't view the climax. I read from the movie
credits that the flick was based upon a story by Geoffrey
Homes.
Is Homes, then, an author to look for in reading 1950s
hardboiled prose?
Thanks in advance,
Ed Lynskey
