mirrors to cultural differences? i think that's entirely
possible. now i just posted saying that i thought the brit
lit to be colder and darker than it's american counterpart,
so am i miring myself in some deep poop here? ;-)
i don't think so. i'm not saying british people are cold and
passionless, but that perhaps the cultural ideal of a hero
are somewhat different, and is sub- sequently reflected in
literature.
