In the 1987 Black Lizard Anthology of Crime Fiction, Ed
Gorman selected a short story titled, "The Second Coming" by
Gores. For those familiar with the story, is it then
representative of the author's style?>>
It's a great story, but, because of the situation it
narrates, it won't give you a clear idea of Gores's lean
hardboiled style. It does show his humane side, though.
