hardboiled book titles
<<Ok, it may be on the noir side of things, but I've
always
been partial to Patrick Hamilton's THE PLAINS OF CEMENT, part
of the equall
well-titled 20,000 STREETS UNDER THE SKY
trilogy.>>
Then there's the fourth volume of the proposed Hamilton
*tetralogy*, never published but available in a dirty
typescript for the modest sum of $5,000. Its title is ANGELS
FEAR TO TREAD ON THIS PAVEMENT.
Since we are descending to levels hitherto unknown in this
austere forum, how about some of Mike Avallone's titles?
Also, I think westerns have mysteries licked when it comes to
truly rancid titles.
Regards,
MrT
