The Ripley novels are quite good, too. But my favorite
Highsmith titles are her short story collections, especially
TALES OF NATURAL AND UNNATURAL CATASTRPHES and THE ANIMAL
LOVERS BOOK OF BEASTLY MURDER. To call her stories mordant is
an understatement. Just imagine murder by guinea pig.
