I understand your point, but, philosophically, I think awards
should go to whoever is best (to the degree that "best" can
be objectively determined). If you think there are five
stories better than "Strangers in Town" or the other two
Macdonald debuts, nominate them. But if there's space on you
nominating ballot AND you think it was one of the best short
stories you read, then nominate it.
