Just finished "A Kiss Before Dying", Ira Levin's first novel.
A precursor of Patricia Highsmith's Tom Ripley ("Kiss" (c)
1953 - Ripley first appears in 1955), it's actually much
faster-paced and less reflective than the Ripley novels I've
read. I enjoyed it immensely. I'm a sucker for books where
abnormal psychology is the "norm" (Jim Thompson is king).
This one's my first dip into Ira Levin's fiction. Anything
else of his similarly noir?
