I gues I shouldn't have been so laconic. I know what penny
dreadfuls are; they weren't really penny dreadfuls by the
'50s, and why would Woody Allen have been writing for them?
Did he write some hb stuff for some kind of American pulp?
Does anybody know anything about this part of his career...or
whether the reference is correct?
