That was my point too, actually, although perhaps I expressed
it badly. My wife is pretty traditional in her thinking of
gender, etc. She knows that women read h-b the same way that
I know that red meat and beer aren't good for
me--"intellectual" knowledge that doesn't actually affect our
day-to-day thought processes.
That having been said, however, I wonder whether it's
possible to generalize some of the things women like about
h-b fiction versus those things men like? Granted that any
such generalization could be only so accurate, I wonder how
different those lists would be?
