He never did a shitty Parker, either. I happened to see Payback recently. Ugh, worse than I had feared. And apart from the absurdly miscast Gibson, the film itself was cartoonish and stupid. And whatever happened to the art of cinematography? Whereas POINT BLANK was visually dazzling, PAYBACK looked flatter than any old TV series (like Kojak, or somesuch).
