Speaking personally I'd really like to see such a list even
if we aren't doing UK HB/noir, as my knowledge of same is
rather dismal. Aside from Derek Raymond/Robin Cook, a couple
of Ted Lewis's Jack Carter books & THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT
(or LIVE, I'm always confusing those 2 titles) & Phillip
Kerr's "Berlin Noir" trilogy, all of which I've read &
Gerald Kersh's NIGHT AND THE CITY which I haven't yet read
but am very familiar with the classic film noir made from, it
my working knowledge of UK hard stuff is woefully inadequate.
I'm aware of some names but a knowledgeable listing of da
good shit would interest me, at least.
